Peaks and glaciers

Mountains cover about 90 percent of the territory of Kyrgyz Republic, which belong to two mountainsystems: the Tien Shan in the north and the Pamir in the south of the republic- the highest mountains in Central Asia. There are a large number of various peaks that will be of interest to both experienced climbers and beginners.

Khan-Tengri peak

The most popularamong climbers are three seven-thousander – Pobeda Peak, Lenin Peak and Khan Tengri.

Ak-Sai glaciers

There are anotherhighest and beautiful peaks in the Kyrgyz Republic: Semenov-Tian-Shansky – 4,875 meters, Korona (Crown) – 4,860 meters, Bailyan Bashi – 4,700 meters,Simagin – 4,400 meters, Free Korea – 4,750 meters, Boxing – 4,250 meters.
